Susan changed her entire physique at age 52. Now, she's a bodybuilder and coach.
Here's my video interview with her. It’s never too late to change how you feel, how you move, or how you look.
In 2017, I was working as a Marketing Manager for a B2B company in a small city. It wasn’t a fast-paced job — very easy, actually. So slow, that I became bored out of my mind.
As a response to that, I started a Youtube Channel of evidence-based exercise and nutrition video essays.
It became a full-time job on its own, really:
Research each topic thoroughly and find sources
Write/edit/revise a script for the voiceover
Record the voiceover (this took an embarrassingly long time for me)
Choose the right background music that was royalty-free and had the right cadence to it
Storyboard all the footage needed to create a narrative
Film the story (with help from my friend Noah and his kick-ass camera gear)
Try to use as much of the footage as I could
Fill in the gaps with animations and graphics
Record the end-screen (me nervously asking to pls subscribe… pls)
Each video took anywhere between 50-70 hours to produce. I know that’s crazy, but I loved it. I put everything I had into each video. I was painfully perfectionist about the whole process. That’s not why I took a hiatus from Youtube, really. That’s a story for another time.
However, there was one last video that I released — and it was a fun change of pace.
The topic I wanted to explore was: How to stay fit after menopause.
What you don't know is that I had to take 2 Xanax as soon as the camera started rolling. I was freakin’ NERVOUS as all hell.
Anyway, I got through to the end since my guest was a natural. Lovely to talk to.
Susan Niebergall is a fat loss and strength coach at SF Inner Circle. I was first made aware of her after listening to her podcast interview with Revolutionary You!
While listening to her story, I immediately contacted her to ask if she’d even be interested in meeting with me to appear on my channel.
This was a lot to ask for, as we all had to meet halfway in NYC. An easy drive for us. A flight for her. Thankfully, she was delighted!
